Short Sugar is a dating site for meeting new people, whether you're looking for a partner or new friends.

Who runs it

Short Sugar is an independent site operated by Nikolaisen. It's not part of a large dating company.

What it does

• Sign in with Google or X and make a profile with photos and a description.
• Choose who you see by gender, age range and distance. You see people who match your settings, and whose settings include you.
• Like or heart profiles and send private messages.
• Install it as an app on your phone, with notifications for new messages.
• Available in English, Thai and Chinese.

What it costs

The site is currently free to use. Ads on the site help cover running costs. Paid extras may be added in the future to keep the site running. If that happens, it will be clearly marked, and you'll never be charged without choosing it yourself.

Why only Google and X sign-in?

Requiring an existing Google or X account makes it harder to create large numbers of fake or spam accounts. There's no email-and-password sign-up for now.

Safety

• Block anyone from their profile or your conversation. Neither of you will see the other in matches or messages.
• Report a profile and choose a reason. The report is saved with that profile.
• Profiles that try to send people to other apps or services aren't welcome.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
