  • ⚡ Swipe: a quick way to meet people, one profile at a time. Swipe right (or tap ❤) to like, left (or ✕) to pass, and undo if you change your mind. On a computer, use the arrow keys.
  • Swipe shows people who already like you first, with a “Likes you” tag. Tap “Liked me” to see only them.
  • When you both like each other you get an “It's a match” screen with both photos and a message ready to send. Edit it or just keep swiping.
  • Filters are now in the top menu. On the phone, the bottom bar is Messages, Browse, Swipe, Matches and Profile.
  • New chat view: message bubbles, dates between days, the message box stays at the bottom, new messages appear by themselves, and you can load older messages in long chats.
  • You can now send pictures in chat.
  • Redesigned inbox: All, Unread, Starred, Archived and Deleted tabs, star or archive a conversation, and search your messages. On a computer the chat opens next to the list.
  • Deleted conversations can be restored, or removed for good with Purge. Deleted messages are removed automatically after 30 days. The privacy policy explains this.
  • Photos are checked before others see them. If a photo isn't approved, you'll see why and can ask us to take another look.
  • New Support page: write to us and follow our replies in one place. A badge shows when we've answered.
  • If an account is suspended, the owner can now appeal through Support.

  • New Matches list: everyone where you both liked each other. The old Matches page is now called Browse.
  • Messages are for matches by default, so you hear from people you like. You can still allow messages from anyone in Settings.
  • Star profiles you like as favourites, hide profiles you don't want to see, and undo a like.
  • Block and report: block someone from their profile or the chat, and report profiles that break the rules.
  • New Settings page for notifications, location and who can message you.
  • Optional location: see roughly how far away people are and filter by distance. It's off unless you turn it on.
  • See who is online now.
  • A fresh new look with light and dark mode, plus a faster site.
  • New guides on profiles, first messages, safety and spotting fake profiles.
  • Deleting your account now removes your photos and profile completely.
